Are you Typical? Typical CO2 Footprint of a U.S. Household

1 August 2013

At the Minnesota Energy Challenge we support being aware of the impact each of us have on the earth. Which is why we offer a carbon dioxide (CO2) footprint calculator. At the Energy Challenge we focus mainly on energy used in housing and transportation. The graph below is a great overarching CO2 footprint visual provided by the Cool Climate Network. In addition to transportation and housing It includes how food, goods and services impact your CO2 emissions. Take a look and think about the activities you and your family participate in and the impact they have on the earth.
