Easy Energy Savings this Thanksgiving

20 November 2012

The Holiday season is right around the corner! Here are a few tips to keep in mind for Thanksgiving and other holiday celebrations this season.

Fill up your tires before your road trip: If you are driving somewhere for the holidays make sure to fill up your tires and and cut down on aggressive driving to save gas. Do this all year round and you can save around $200!

Turn down the thermostat: Turn down your home’s thermostat if you leave home to visit relatives. If you are hosting Thanksgiving , you can also turn down the thermostat a couple degrees because it will be plenty warm in your home with all the people gathering and cooking in your home

Let food cool before putting  it in the fridge: Your refrigerator is one of the largest energy hogs  in your home. To reduce its load, make sure all the leftovers are cool before storing them in your fridge.

Lastly, just want to say a big THANK YOU to all our readers! Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
