Majority of our electricity still comes from coal

19 March 2012

This is a great video that lays out some basic facts around the amount of coal we use.  Although we are moving on the right track in  renewable energies, 60% of Minnesota’s electricity still comes from coal.

Good news! We can make a difference in the amount of coal that is needed to be burned in Minnesota. All of the simple actions like reducing phantom load and saving hot water does add up ( as you can see on the Minnesota Energy Challenge website).
