Minneapolis 6th best eco-city in the world

28 May 2010

According to a Quality of Living Worldwide survey tabulated by global HR company Mercer, the city of Minneapolis is the 6th best eco-city in the WORLD.  In order to create the rankings, Mercer looked at a variety of environmental and economic issues, including renewable energy, pollution, water quality and traffic congestion. Just another reason I love living in Minneapolis.

Mercer’s top ten ranked eco-cities worldwide are:

1.  Calgary, Canada

2. Honolulu, USA

3. Ottawa, Canada [tied]

3.  Helinski, Finland [tied]

5. Wellington, New Zealand

6.  Minneapolis, USA

7. Adelaide, Australia

8. Copenhagen, Denmark

9. Kobe, Japan [tied]

9. Oslo, Norway [tied]

9. Stockholm, Sweden [tied]
