Don’t Get Burned by Hot Water

5 April 2010

Looking for an easy way to save on energy costs and keep your family safe at the same time?  Make sure your water heater is set to 120 degrees, often shown by a hash mark or little arrow on the dial.  At 120 degrees it takes more than five minutes for someone to get a second or third degree burn.  If your water heater is turned up ten degrees too high to 130 degrees, a severe burn can happen in SECONDS.

Pledge to keep your hot water cheap and safe on the Minnesota Energy Challenge!
