The New Energy Challenge: Action Guides

28 December 2009

You may have noticed that the blog looks different – well, that’s not the only thing that has changed around here!  The Minnesota Energy Challenge now has a brand new look and a brand new website!  If you haven’t visited yet, go check it out and see some of our brand new features – they are awesome.

Especially, might I note, the Action Guides.  All of the energy-saving actions on the Energy Challenge have been organized into categories, making it easier to find actions that are right for you.

For example, I’m a renter.  Some actions don’t apply to me – I can’t turn down my heat or buy a new heating system.  Now I can just visit the Renters action guide and find all the actions that I can do!  Now, I’ve been considering composting in my apartment.  I love the idea of turning food scraps into new soil and reducing the amount of trash I produce.  But, um, can I even compost in my apartment?  How do I figure this stuff out?

WELL. Now each action has its own guide that outlines why you should do it, step-by-step directions, videos, frequently asked questions, more resources and more!  You can also now leave comments on actions, so if you have any questions about something in particular, that’s the easiest way to ask our experts.

It’s great!  Enjoy!
