Earth Day is a great opportunity for everyone to reconnect to our obligation to our beautiful, fragile planet and set aside some time for contemplation.  If you’re looking for a new, interesting and touching way to connect with the community and the earth this weekend, you will not want to miss Wishes for the Sky at Harriet Island this Sunday, April 19th from 10:30am to 4:20pmWishes for the Sky is a wholly original and poetic large-scale multidisciplinary public art event for the whole family incorporating kites!  There are multiple sites of activities, including a temporary bamboo wind chimes, the Wishmaking Pavilion to experience earth-inspired poetry and loaned kites that anyone can write a wish on and fly on the Great Lawn.

Some past wishes…

I promise I’ll try not to litter.

I wish for more days just like this one.

More art! Fun! More love for all!

I wish that I could climb a tree to the tippy top.

I, for one, am not going to miss this great opportunity.
