And, last but not least, we want to show our appreciation for the block clubs and “others,” who may sometimes be small or defy categorization, but who are staunchly dedicated to helping others save energy and money and promote the Minnesota Energy ChallengeTHANK YOU! Don’t forget to sign up and support the organizations in your community that make a real difference!

#1 Block Club Team – East Seward, Mpls.

Block clubs are a great way to organize around the Energy Challenge; you can start conversations with your neighbors about their own efficiency actions, check in with each other about your progress and get support when times get tough.  East Seward is the most successful block on the Energy Challenge, with twenty-seven households pledging to save over 203 thousand pounds of carbon dioxide pollution annually.

#1 “Other”Team – Archdiocese Global Warming Action Team.

Faith communities are one of the most active groups advocating to fight global warming as a part of social justice work in the world.  The Archdiocese Global Warming Action Team brings together Catholic congregations to teach creation care and energy efficiency as a practical, powerful tool to institute change.
