Busy Bus

4 August 2008

It’s not just local city buses that are getting a boost in ridership from high gas prices – in the past two years, ridership on intercity buses like Greyhound and Megabus has jumped 13%. Not only are these services more appealing financially, choosing a bus over flying or driving alone has a positive environmental impact as well (duh).  Megabus estimates that one of their buses filled to capacity creates the equivalent savings of taking 56 cars off the road.

Have you hopped on a Greyhound or Megabus in the past few years?  If so, what has been your experience?
