Best Green Cities in America

18 March 2008

Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington (the Three Cities, apparently) have been named as one of the Top Ten Best Green Cities in America by Country Home Magazine. Cities were ranked according to a plethora of data, including mass transit use, green power policies, wind power availability and farmers markets.  Data was collected from sources such as the Census Bureau, the U.S. Green Building Council, Department of Transportation, Environmental Protection Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the online directory.

Two other cities in Minnesota were listed in the Top 25 – St. Cloud came in at 15, and Duluth is listed at 23.
