So, this weekend was the Living Green Expo, which was marvelous! We’re all completely exhausted but very excited about all the great vendors and organizations and people we saw. I was at the Energy Challenge booth on Saturday and Sunday, and yet again the majority of the questions I fielded were about compact fluorescent light bulbs.
I think a lot of confusion stems from inadequate instructions on the packaging. It’s still not made entirely clear that CFLs come in range of colors, or that some shouldn’t be installed sideways. And that the bulbs need to be recycled, as they contain a small amount of mercury. I understand your frustration, because I don’t know why the packaging can’t be better! If you have something to say about it, you should contact the companies and let them know that you’re not getting the best product that you could be.
