Americans aren’t the only ones worried about rising gas prices – Europeans are also feeling the burn of increasing “petrol” prices. To help European drivers learn how more eco-efficient driving moves, the European Union (EU) Energy Commission has created a website, savemorethanfuel.eu to teach drivers some good habits. Their little videos demonstrating good eco-driving are super cute, and the tips they teach save just as much on both sides of the ocean.
Have you changed your driving habits at all to save energy? If so, what have you done and have you seen results?
Personally, as you might gather from reading this blog, when I must drive I always drive the speed limit (especially 55 on the freeway), keep my tires properly inflated, get regular maintenance and avoid jackrabbit starts and stops. I’ve definitely seen an impact on my fuel efficiency, which is satisfying as gas prices nudge $4 a gallon in Minnesota.
