Actor-environmentalist Ed Begley Jr. in town

Ed Begley Jr., well-known actor and environmentalist will talk about his new show, “Living Green With Ed” at noon Thursday, April 10, in the auditorium of O’Shaughnessy Educational Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas. The talk, free and open to the public, is sponsored by St. Thomas’ University Lectures Committee.
Begley has been a committed environmentalist for more than three decades. He is a huge proponent of individual action and a role model of the same. Begley’s home utilizes sun-tracking solar panels, native plant xeroscaping, solar hot water, rainwater barrels, composting and recycling. Begley rides his bike or uses public transportation as much as possible.
You might recognized Begley from his work on “Six Feet Under,” “Arrested Development,” “Veronica Mars,” “A Mighty Wind” and “Batman Forever.”
