Polar Explorer Will Steger Event

Few people in our community have witnessed the immediate effects of global warming on our world the same way as polar explorer Will Steger. Steger travels constantly to the polar regions to witness climate change firsthand and its effects on local populations. He is a wonderful speaker and his photographs and stories from his expeditions are incredible!

This fall, Steger will be sharing his vivid, firsthand accounts of global warming and stories from his recent expedition to Baffin Island. He will be joined by notable speakers on science, policy and faith to share solutions to climate change and urge immediate action from individuals and policy makers, including encouraging all to take the Minnesota Energy Challenge. There are two opportunities this week to hear Steger speak; tomorrow, October 9th at Roseville Lutheran Church (215 Roselawn Avenue) from 10am to Noon, and this Sunday, October 14th at All Saints Catholic Church in Lakeville (19795 Holyoke Avenue) from 7 – 8:30pm. We will also have a table at both events to showcase some compact fluorescent light bulbs and talk about simple actions we can all take to reduce your use. I hope to see you there!
